VietJet Air to add new domestic routes
New Vietnamese low-cost carrier, VietJet Air has announced plans to launch two new domestic routes.
The airline launched in December 2011 with flights on the main route between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), but the first phase of expansion will get underway next month.
From 27 April, VietJet will launch daily flights connecting Hanoi and
Nha Trang, and twice daily services between HCMC and Danang. Also from this date, the airline will increase the frequency of its Hanoi-HCMC service from three to eight daily flights.
Hanoi-based VietJet also plans to launch international services later this year, with Singapore, China, Thailand, South Korea and Japan all believed to be on the airline’s radar.
The airline currently operates a fleet of three 180-seat Airbus A320s.
