VietJet to add Bangkok-Hanoi flights
VietJet Air has announced that its second international route will launch this summer, connecting the Vietnamese capital Hanoi with Bangkok.
Commencing on 1 June 2013, flights will be operated daily using a 180-seat Airbus A380 aircraft, departing Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport at 1050. The return leg will leave Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport at 1335. Flights are already on sale.
“We are delighted to soon introduce our second international flight connecting Bangkok and Hanoi,” said Desmond Lin, VietJet’s Business Development Director. “As ever we will highlight the fun side of Vietnam to the Thai market and help residents of Vietnam better access Bangkok, one of the greatest cities in Asia.”
VietJet launched its first ever international services this year, connecting Bangkok with Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). The airline, which was once in talks with AirAsia over a potential partnership, now offers flights to nine cities in Vietnam, as well as Bangkok. It will also launch services between HCMC and Buon Ma Thuot, in Vietnam’s Central Highlands, on 20 May 2013.
