VietJet has announced plans to launch a new daily service connecting Hanoi and Siem Reap form 3 November.
The latest flight route will see the airline departing Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi at 1715, and the return leg will take-off from Siem Reap International Airport in Cambodia at 2005 daily. The flight duration per section is 1 hour and 50 minutes.
As a gateway to the temples of Angkor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Siem Reap is a hugely popular resort town, which has attracted Vietnamese tourists in recent years. The new direct route linking Hanoi and Siem Reap will tap on the demand for travel between the two hubs, further boosting the development of trade and tourism between Vietnam and Cambodia.
“We are delighted to introduce Siem Reap as our latest destination which further demonstrates our strong commitment to developing one of the most dynamic flight network across the Asia Pacific region,” said Desmond Lin, business development manager at VietJet.
VietJet currently operates 21 local and international routes. In addition to this latest connection to Cambodia, the airline also offers direct flights from Hanoi and Da Nang to Seoul and from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam to Bangkok.
