Vietnam Airlines has announced that it will commence direct services between Hanoi and Kuala Lumpur from 16 June. The new flights will be operated daily using the national carrier’s Airbus A319 aircraft. The new KL launch forms part of a larger expansion plan for Vietnam Airlines intended to better connect Hanoi with other Southeast Asian capital cities. Also from 16 June, Vietnam Airlines will boost its Hanoi-Bangkok services from twice to three times a day, while the Hanoi-Singapore route frequency will rise from seven to 11 weekly flights.
