Vietnam is considering building a high-speed rail link connection Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, VietnamNet Bridge reported. A proposal made by Sweden’s SkeriNova Holding Group was outlined at a meeting with the country’s Ministry of Planning and Investment’s Department of Infrastructure and Urban Affairs.
Under the proposal, the railway would have two lanes with an average speed of 437km per hour. If approved, the rail link could be in place by 2015, the report said.
