Virgin Atlantic has announced it will recommence its Heathrow to Chicago direct service next month. The route will operate four times a week from 9 May on an airbus A340-300, which will be extended to a daily service on 22 May. The route is also expected to run for Virgin’s winter schedule and coincides with its new itineraries to the Great Lakes of North America. “This is a welcome addition for the Great Lakes region. We are pleased to be able to offer UK travellers even more options for travel to this popular leisure destination,” said Toby McCarrick, execusive director of the Great Lakes of North America.
