Virgin Atlantic Airways has launched a talent search to find a reporter for the upcoming NFL International Series in London. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Chicago Bears at Wembley Stadium on 23rd October and the airline, which is the official partner of the event, is offering one US fan the chance to report live from the match.
Running until 10th October, American fans can enter by tweeting @VirginAtlantic using the hashtag #RedHotReporter. The entrant with the strongest social media presence will win a VIP trip to the game, including round-trip premium economy airfares, hotel accommodation and seats in the Virgin Atlantic suite at Wembley. The winner must also commentate on the trip, and the match itself, via Twitter and Facebook. This will include attending team practices and press conferences, NFL events in Trafalgar Square as well as a pre-game sideline experience.
“The NFL International Series offers the perfect opportunity to align our brand with one of the most recognisable sporting entities in the world,” said Chris Rossi, Virgin Atlantic’s senior vice president for North America. “This is the third year that we have partnered with the NFL, allowing both brands to further expand their reach on both sides of the Atlantic. We look forward to this year’s match-up and are excited to host our guests at the game, including our Red Hot Reporter.”
