Vistara has announced the addition of Chandigarh to its route network.
From 2 May 2016, the airline will operate daily flights connecting Chandigarh to Delhi and Hyderabad.
Flight UK 830 will depart Delhi at 1320 and arrive Chandigarh at 1420, while the return flight, UK 879, will leave Chandigarh at 1520 and reach Delhi at 1620. The same aircraft will then continue onwards from Delhi to Hyderabad.
Vistara said the flights will also enable connections between Chandigarh and Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar and Ahmedabad, via Delhi.
“Chandigarh is a key market in North India and a base for significant business and tourism in the region and we are glad to connect to this beautiful city,” said Phee Teik Yeoh, CEO of Vistara said.
“Not only will we connect Chandigarh directly to Delhi and Hyderabad and to five other cities domestically, international traffic from the city will also be connected via our hub at T3 Delhi making it a convenient connection for them to travel overseas, even through our interline partnerships with 12 international airlines.”
Chandigarh is Vistara’s sixth destination in North India and its 16th nationwide. The airline has already launched services to Srinagar, Jammu and Kochi in April, and with addition of these services it now operates approximately 400 weekly flights.
