Vistara has announced plans for a 25% increase in flights for start of the summer 2016 schedule, including the launch of new services to Jammu, Srinagar and Kochi.

With the induction of four new Airbus A320 aircraft, the airline will introduce new destinations and increase frequencies on its existing routes. By the end of October 2016, the total number of flights will increase by 85%.

Bookings for the new schedules will open for sale this week.

Starting 7 April 2016, Vistara will offer direct daily return flights from Delhi to Srinagar and daily flights from Delhi to Jammu via Srinagar from 9 April. The direct daily return flights from Mumbai to Kochi and daily flights from Delhi to Kochi via Mumbai will commence on 14 April. The new summer schedule has 17 city pairs connected through non-stop flights, 16 city pairs connected through ‘via’ flights and over 40 single-stop travel.

Vistara will also be increasing the frequency of its existing Delhi-Bengaluru service, offering convenient same-day return options to customers in both cities.

Phee Teik Yeoh, CEO of Vistara said; “With growing market presence and phenomenal customer uptake, we plan to double our domestic capacity this year by offering more flights, destinations and increased frequencies to our growing loyal customer base.”

Following the expansion, Vistara’s network will cover 15 cities served by almost 400 weekly flights.
