VN launches more Indochina flights

It will also launch a service between the Vietnamese capital and Guangzhou next Monday, Vietnam Airlines spokesman Trinh Ngoc Thanh was quoted saying by VietnamNet Bridge.
There will be five flights a week from Hanoi to Luang Prabang and Siem Reap (except Tuesday and Sunday), and a service to Guangzhou every Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
Passenger numbers on the carriers’ planes are up 13 percent from a year ago. In the first nine months of this year, Vietnam Airlines carried a record 5.85 million passengers on 47,300 flights, earning US$893 million in the process.
The airline is planning to begin direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Los Angeles and San Francisco at the end of next year, the report said.
