A volcanic eruption in Indonesia caused for several airlines to cancel or delay flights to and from Bali yesterday. Although the island’s airport remained open during Mount Bromo eruption, the transport ministry advised airlines to avoid the affected areas. Jetstar and Virgin Blue were forced to divert flights following the warning and Singapore Airlines also cancelled two flights. Schedules now appear to be running as usual but passengers are encouraged to check with their airline.
