Vueling has announced it will launch flights between Gatwick and Barcelona El Prat next year as it unveiled a new strapline.
The Spanish carrier will launch the route in March alongside another 27 new routes from Barcelona across Germany, France, Italy and Scandinavia.
Its Gatwick launch is in addition to Vueling’s Heathrow service as the airline looks to bolster its offering for business travellers. To further enhance this the carrier launched a new ‘Excellence’ class to include different cabin seats, access to VIP lounges, priority boarding, flexibility to change flights, onboard refreshments and extra loyalty points.
Alex Cruz, CEO of Vueling also unveiled its new brand concept ‘Love the way you fly’ at the press conference in Barcelona, which was made to look like an aircraft. The airline will now base 43 aircraft at El Prat airport (up from 34) to fuel its growth and will hold a third of the market at the airport.
