Vueling has announced it will operate services year-round from Cardiff Airport with the addition of winter flights.
The Spanish carrier will operate flights to Malaga and Alicante during the winter months on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It follows a successful 2012 and 2013 summer season for the routes.
“Vueling has been operating from Cardiff Airport for two years and we strongly believe that the results are very good for both parts. Our goal is to keep on working to deliver quality services to both leisure and business passengers from Wales,” said Javier Suarez, routes manager at Vueling.
The airline also operates flights from Cardiff to Barcelona and Palma Majorca in the summer.
“We have been listening to what the people of Wales want and one clear message amongst others was year round services. We have made this a priority as part of our discussions with existing and potential airlines to ensure this demand is met from Cardiff Airport,” said Jon Horne, CEO of Cardiff Airport.
