W Hotels has unveiled the innovative design concept for the W Guangzhou Hotel & Residences, its first property in Mainland China.
Slated to open in early 2013 in the high-end Pearl River New Town district, W Guangzhou will feature 320 contemporary guestrooms and suites. The hotel’s destination bar makes a big statement in design, housed in a four-story lit glass loft suspended from the side of the hotel. Among other F&B options in the hotel is the decadent Yan Yu, W Guangzhou’s signature Chinese restaurant, with private dining rooms.
“The debut of the W brand in mainland China is a true milestone in our expansion into the world’s most vibrant and exciting destinations,” said Paul James, Global Brand Leader, W Hotels Worldwide, St. Regis, and The Luxury Collection.
“The iconic design of W Guangzhou, combined with the hotel’s dynamic bars and restaurants and Whatever/Whenever service philosophy, will bring a new style of hospitality to this significant Chinese city.”
Owned and developed by KWG Property Holdings and managed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts, W Guangzhou will join the ranks of a fast growing portfolio of W Hotels throughout Asia Pacific, including Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Maldives, Koh Samui, Bali – Seminyak, Taipei, and just recently Bangkok.
