Wendy Wu debuts 2017/18 tours

Wendy Wu Tours has launched its new brochures for 2017/18.
For the first time, the operator has launched a dedicated Japan brochure with two new tours after the popularity of the destination in 2016 and customer feedback.
To celebrate the launch, Wendy Wu Tours has partnered with Cathay Pacific to offer an exclusive business class upgrade from just £99 per person (one way) on selected tours to China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Burma and Japan.
The upgrade offer is available from new bookings made from 10 September to 31 October 2016 flying from Manchester, Gatwick or Heathrow.

As part of their first-ever dedicated Japan brochure, Wendy Wu Tours’ has created a new Discovery Tour, ‘Trails of Japan’ (from £4,890pp). The 13-day itinerary allows travellers to experience the quirky side of Japan, including immersing themselves in the sub-culture of Harajuku in Tokyo, visiting the exhilarating Robot restaurant, watching a Sumo wrestling match, as well as a journey to the sacred town of Koya-san and meeting the adorable snow monkeys.
There is also a new Exclusive Collection tour of Japan. The 12-day ‘Golden Route’ (from £6,990pp) allows guests to explore this incredible nation in luxury where they can drink a cold glass of sake on Mount Fuji, have a go at making traditional sushi and study the art of Kendo, a form of swordsmanship.
There are two new China Discovery Tours, which aim to provide guests with a more authentic and active travel experience as well as more free time to explore. The 17-day ‘Enchanting China’ tour (from £2,990pp) introduces guests to the best sights of Beijing, Xian, Shanghai and Chengdu, as well a three-night river cruise along the Yangtze River.
The 21-day Land of the Dragon trip (from £3,290pp) allows travellers to enjoy the imperial highlights of Beijing, cruise along the Li River, meet the Giant Pandas and try a delicious breakfast walking tour in Shanghai, as well as including plenty of free time and optional excursions so guests can create a unique holiday.
Tibet has been tipped by Wendy Wu Tours to be very popular in 2017 and travellers can experience this fascinating destination as part of the 18-day ‘China & Spiritual Tibet’ trip (from £5,490). The luxurious tour is part of the Exclusive Collection and highlights include three nights on a deluxe Yangtze cruise and a day trip to witness the magnificent views over Yamdrok Lake.
Those looking for an adventure will relish the new 23-day ‘Trans Himalayan Journey’ (from £3,790pp) where guests travel through the Himalayas to the state of Ladakh, discovering the breathtaking mountains and monasteries of this former Buddhist kingdom.
The new 15-day ‘Spirit of Sri Lanka’ tour (from £3,190) will appeal to travellers who are looking to journey through Sri Lanka’s extensive history, culture and natural beauty, discovering the ruins of ancient civilisations, spotting exotic wildlife and hiking the hill country. Both of these itineraries are part of Wendy Wu Tours’ expanding Discovery Tours portfolio.
Following an increasing demand for holidays in Burma, Wendy Wu Tours has introduced the 14-day ‘Burma & the Irrawaddy’ tour (from £3,790), which visits the charming capital city Rangoon and the cultural Mandalay, as well as including a two-night Irrawaddy cruise with Pandaw.
Another addition to the Exclusive Collection is the 22-day ‘Majestic Mekong’ tour (from £5,490pp) where guests can enjoy a luxury cruise along the Mekong in Cambodia onboard the boutique RV Jahan vessel, sip champagne as the sun sets on the temples of Angkor and learn to cook like a local with a Hoi An cooking class in Vietnam.
