Wolfgang Puck is to open his first European restaurant in summer 2011 named ‘Cut at 45 Park Lane’. The American steak restaurant will be located in the Dorchester Collection’s new hotel and it has most recently appointed its senior management team. David McIntyre will become executive chef at the restaurant from Los Angeles, where he held the same role at WP24 by Wolfgang Puck. In addition, Loyd Loudy has been named as restaurant director, following roles at China Tang at The Dorchester, the OXO Tower Restaurant, Shoreditch House, Soho House and Hakkasan. “With 11 previous restaurant openings between them, both have extensive experience in making new concepts a success,” said Marie-Laure Akdag, hotel manager of 45 Park Lane.
