Archipelago International has held groundbreaking ceremonies for two new Favehotel properties in Indonesia.
Construction work has now commenced on the Favehotel Anyer in West Java and the Favehotel Rembang in Central Java, marking the latest stages in the budget brand’s rapid expansion.
The new 101-room, four-storey Favehotel Anyer is located in the centre of Anyer, on the western tip of Java Island, while the 100-room Favehotel Rembang is set on the island’s north coast, close to the regional hubs of Solo and Semarang.
Archipelago currently operates a portfolio of 20 Favehotels across Indonesia and Malaysia, including eight in Jakarta and five in Bali. But it has a development pipeline of more than 40 hotels in Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.
