World Expo likely to exceed visitor estimates

Visitors to the 2010 World Expo are expected to exceed 70 million estimate, with 20 million tickets having already been sold three months prior to the start of the event, Xinhua has reported. Shanghai Mayor, Han Zheng, was reported saying that the city’s initial visitor projection now seems “rather conservation”. The record attendance for a previous World Expo was 64 million, achieved by Osaka in 1970.
