World Travel Market is to open this morning with 157 new exhibitors with Europe and technology seeing the largest area increases.
Tourism boards showcasing San Marino, Lille and Komi, Russia are amongst the newcomers, as well as Steigenberger Hotels and Travel Republic.
Emerging outbound destinations including Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Iraq are also amongst those who have stands at the show this year, while new domestic tourism exhibitors include English Heritage, the National Trust and several London attractions.
The four-day show will officially open at 11.30am hosted by BBC reporter Stephen Sackur; WTM’s chairman Fiona Jeffery OBE and guest speaker Barry Gibbons, former CEO of Burger King. Other high-profile speakers throughout the conference include ex-secretary of state for transport Lord Andrew Adonis and Carnival Cruises’ CEO Micky Arison.
