(Hong Kong, September 2, 2009) - WORLDHOTELS has launched the Chinese version of its website worldhotels.com. It is the second Asian-language online portal for the leading Europe-based global hotel group for independent hotels and regional hotel brands.
To celebrate the online milestone, WORLDHOTELS is offering a ‘Double Miles’ promotion with Air China and Asia Miles frequent flyer programmes for guests staying at nine of its affiliate Asia Pacific hotels. The promotion runs until October 31, 2009.
Participating WORLDHOTELS affiliate hotels are the Grand Central Hotel and The Eton Hotel in Shanghai; The Claridges New Delhi; Carlton Hotel and Goodwood Park Hotel in Singapore; and four Hong Kong hotels — Hotel Jen, Lan Kwai Fong Hotel, Metropark Hotel Causeway Bay and The Park Lane.
Roland Jegge, Vice President, Asia Pacific for WORLDHOTELS, said: “The launch of our Chinese website meets growing customer demand from the Chinese community worldwide. WORLDHOTELS identifies enormous potential not only in mainland China and Chinese-speaking countries, but Chinese-speaking communities all over the world.”
The Chinese website is WORLDHOTELS’ sixth language site, following the recent launch of a Japanese version. It is also available in English, German, French and Spanish.
Worldhotels.com has been completely redesigned, now featuring hassle-free booking, videos, hotel reviews, weather forecasts and maps to help travellers and travel agents quickly find best-fit accommodation from WORLDHOTELS’ worldwide portfolio.
A dedicated portal WORLDHOTELS.beconnected is for travel agents. Those who register have access to special trade discounts, updates on promotional offers, information on commission payments for their bookings and a regular newsletter.
Another online product for meeting planners, WORLDHOTELS events, has been further enhanced, making it more efficient to use and informative.
The most innovative search option of the website is the “travel theme” allowing travellers to identify a hotel based on individual needs and interests between City Breaks, Luxury Spa & Wellness, Golf, Romance, and Culture themes. Accommodating individuals’ preferences each theme provides access to relevant hotels and special offers.
To provide balanced information, hotel reviews from leading travel website TripAdvisor are also included on worldhotels.com.
“Worldhotels.com has been developed not only to be extremely easy to navigate, but also to offer our customers all the information they may require when choosing a travel destination and hotel from locations across the globe,” added Mr. Jegge.
