Wotif praises Southern Thailand hotels

PHUKET - 14 September 2009: At appreciation events held in Krabi, Samui and Phuket last week, Wotif Group awarded its top hotel partners in Southern Thailand who attracted the most customers through popular accommodation sites - Wotif.com, AsiaWebDirect.com and LateStays.com during the past twelve months.
The events, held at Malati at Sheraton Krabi Beach Resort, Niki Beach Samui and the ultra-trendy Baba Pool Club at Sri Panwa in Phuket, saw more than 200 hotel managers and executives, taking some time out to mingle with their industry colleagues and find out who took home top honours this year.
Wotif Group’s Executive General Manager for Asia, Sii Eawsakul said, “Southern Thailand is a key destination for Wotif Group in Asia and our teams in our Asia head office in Phuket as well as our local teams in Krabi and Samui are very focused on maintaining excellent relationships and producing excellent results for hotels in these regions.
“On top of the economic situation Thailand hotels have had an especially challenging 12 months, and these winners were able to use our different sites to get exceptional results despite the tough climate,” she said.
