WOW air, the Icelandic low cost airline, has announced a new service from the UK to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania beginning in June 2017, with fares from £119.99 one way.
Flights will depart from London Gatwick and Edinburgh to Pittsburgh via Reykjavik. The inaugural service to Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) will depart on 16 June 2017, with the service operating four times per week, year-round.
Tickets for the new route are on sale now.
WOW air’s expansion to Pittsburgh builds upon the successful launch of transatlantic services to Montreal, Washington D.C, Toronto, Boston, New York and Californian destinations Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami.
Skúli Mogensen, Founder and CEO of WOW air said, “Making exciting new destinations accessible for travellers across the world at unbeatable prices is an integral part of our ethos at WOW air. Pittsburgh is certainly a destination on the rise and one that will appeal to a wide range of UK travellers looking to discover somewhere different, so we’re thrilled to add the destination to our route list. The past year has truly solidified our presence in the US, with a number of new routes launched and we look forward to continuing this fast rate of expansion.”
The flights from Reykjavik to Pittsburg will be serviced by WOW air‘s fleet of Airbus A321 aircraft.
