Wyndham Dubai Marina has teamed up with Dubai-based property development firm, The First Group, to give away 350 Iftar boxes to the local community.
The partners joined forces to spread the joy of Ramadan, with each individually-packed box containing chicken biryani, raita, dates, a banana and water.
The packs were prepared by staff at Wyndham Dubai Marina, which is Wyndham Hotels and Resorts’ first hotel property in the UAE.
Staff from the hotel distributed these special boxes to labourers working at the sites of its two upcoming sister properties – TRYP by Wyndham Dubai in Barsha Heights and its second, yet-to-be-named hotel at Dubai Marina.
All three properties are owned by The First Group and managed by Wyndham Hotel Group.
Helping distribute the boxes were Wyndham Dubai Marina general manager Rogier M Hurkmans and The First Group’s senior hotel asset manager, Hani Mansour.
“It’s great getting into the spirit of Ramadan and helping and spending time with those that are working nearby,” said Hurkmans. “This is our way of expressing thanks to our local community.”
Wyndham Dubai Marina opened its doors in February 2016.
The First Group’s has also supported several local children’s charities this Ramadan, donating funds to entities including Dubai’s Beit Al Khair Society.
In addition, the company teamed up with The Happy Box to deliver hundreds of customised Happy Boxes to children at two UAE-based organisations; Manar Al Iman Charity Schools in Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah, and at The Family Village Orphanage project, Dubai.
