Building on its rapid expansion in the Asia Pacific region last year, when it opened nearly 100 properties in the region, Wyndham Hotel Group today announced agreements to open and manage two new Wyndham hotels in China and Thailand.
In China, the 26-story Wyndham Sanya Resort, in the southern resort province of Hainan, is expected to open in January 2014. The 403-room beach resort property will feature indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a gym, meeting and banquet space and several restaurants.
In Thailand, the beachfront Wyndham Khao Lak Resort, is currently under construction and scheduled to open in August this year. The hotel will feature 145 guest rooms and 60 villas, an outdoor swimming pool, spa, gym, meeting and banquet space, all-day-dining restaurant, American bistro, burger bar and a teppanyaki restaurant.
“The Asia Pacific region continues to be a key area of focus for our company’s development,” said Eric Danziger, Wyndham Hotel Group’s President & Chief Executive Officer. “We are pleased to… introduce Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in Thailand and grow the brand in China, further strengthening our presence in this region.”
