A series of webinars will be held this year to help the travel industry target the youth travel market.
The World Youth Student and Educational (WYSE) Travel Confederation will host the first of the webinars next week with bloggers and marketing experts Daniel Noll and Audrey Scott (UncorneredMarket.com) to discuss how social media and interaction can create brand ambassadors.
Webinars will be free for members and cost EUR75 for non-members.
David Chapman, WYSE Travel Confederation’s director general, said: “Whilst travellers now consult a far wider range of sources than they did five years ago, our research indicates that family and friends remain the most valued source of all when trip-planning, with nearly half (45%) of travellers making holiday plans based on the feedback of people they know and whose opinions they trust. With this in mind, the importance of being able to convert customers into brand ambassadors has never been more critical to business success. We therefore hope that our first interactive session will help travel professionals explore how to use storytelling techniques to connect with customers, engage their interest and, ultimately, inspire travellers to help share their story.”
