The Zendai Group has announced plans to open two new “visionary hotel concepts” into the Shanghai market. A CNY2.4 billion total investment will see the Zendai Hotel Yin and Zendai Art Hotel open at the ‘Himalayas Centre’ – a new project that developers have promised will become the city’s ‘latest architectural masterpiece’. Both properties will be open in time for the Shanghai World Expo in 2010.
The 78-room boutique-style Zendai Hotel Yin will occupy the top four floors of the dedicated hotel tower. The property has been designed by world renowned interior designer, Khuan Chew of KCA International, who previously worked on the Burj al Arab in Dubai.
The Zendai Art Hotel meanwhile will occupy the first 14 floors of the hotel tower. Also designed by Khuan Chew, the five-star luxury hotel will feature over 300 rooms and suites in a contemporary Chinese style. All rooms feature flat screen TV’s with Internet surfing capability.
