Explore has revealed that it will launch an online training tool and 30 fam trip places for agents in the next few months. The news comes after the tour operator added experiential and budget collections to its 2011 adventure travel portfolio. “Thirty fam-trip places will be given away to celebrate 30 years of Explore,” explained Carl Burrows, sales director at Explore. “Agents are an integral part of our distribution strategy and we are pleased to be able to offer them new and refreshing product.” Experiential tours have been launched in South Africa, India and Nepal to put travellers in volunteering projects and directly helping local communities. Meanwhile, Explore’s Budget product will provide simpler hotels and local transport details. The operator has also promised not to offer online discounts and therefore undercut agents.
