Swan Hellenic announces holy cruise

UK operator Swan Hellenic has announced the details of its Easter cruise which visits some of the world’s most important religious sites.
The 15-day voyage departs from Aqaba, Jordan and calls at the Pyramids, Egyptian Coptic Orthodox monasteries as well as the cities if Jerusalem and Bethlehem. The cruise will also call at the Aegean Island of Patmos where St. John is said to have written the Book of Revelation.
The cruise will include a guest speaker programme that includes the Reverend Canon Ralph Godsall, a priest of Westminster Abbey; George Hart, a staff lecturer at the British Museum on Civilisation and the modern world; and Professor Christopher Andrew, lecturer on modern and contemporary history at Cambridge.
The cruise includes return UK flights, transfers, shore excursions, meals and entertainment – as well as all gratuities and taxes. Prices start at GBP2,630 per person based on two sharing.
Guests booking a ‘superior balcony suite’ or above (grade A-C) will get a complimentary return chauffeur service from their door to the UK departure airport within a 75 mile radius. A surcharge applies for journeys over 75 miles.
