In-flight entertainment content provider IFE Services has signed a new deal that will enable it to offer more video games to airline passengers.
The UK-based company has signed a deal with GUE Tech that will lead to several popular video games for PlayStation, Xbox 360, PC Wii, iOS and Android being made available on airlines’ in-flight entertainment systems.
US-based GUE Tech has a catalogue of 160 games including classic titles such as Warm Up, Fallout, Worms and Gun Metal. The company said the games have already been tested on all major in-flight entertainment systems.
“When we came across GUE Tech’s catalogue of games we were very impressed. We now have access to the highest quality in-flight games on the market and cannot wait to demonstrate them to airlines all over the world,” said Andy McEwan, CEO of IFE Services.
GUE Tech first hit the headlines in March this year when the company announced that it had licensed 15 games to Singapore Airlines. IFE Services, which currently provides content to 43 airlines, will now work with GUE Tech to bring its games to a wider market.
