Universal reveals Diagon Alley plans

Universal Orlando has revealed more details of the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley attraction.
Speaking at World Travel Market, Mike West, executive producer at Universal Creative revealed the new London-themed area will include a Leaky Cauldron restaurant as well as a main attraction based on Gringotts Bank.
A Hogwarts Express train will operate from Diagon Alley to the current Hogsmeade area in Islands of Adventure next door.
“We are in the process of an historic expansion at Universal Orlando and there are more entertainment options than before,” said West.
Universal Orlando has also recently opened a Springfield area based on The Simpsons, while bookings for its new Cabana Bay hotel are now available.
“2014 will be another exciting year for the resort,” said Dennis Quinn, vice president destination sales at Universal Orlando Resort. “We look forward to sharing new details of our CityWalk later this year also.”
