Jordan recently played host to the first forum and expo on Euro-Arab cooperation for sustainable accessible destinations: Tourism for All. The aim of the 1st MENA-ENAT (Euro-Arab) Forum-Expo was to identify measures and actions to develop and facilitate accessibility to destinations such as Jordan and the MENA region. This is in focus of special needs travellers in order to increase international tourism and improve leisure opportunities for all.
The event was held under the Patronage of HRH Prince Ra’ad Bin Zeid, Lord Chamberlain to His Majesty the King, chairman of the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) & chairman of Forum Higher Committee, ENAT, Jordan MICE and AQABA Special Economic Zone Authority-ASEZA, and in collaboration with the Jordan Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities.
The forum raised awareness on human rights’ equal opportunities and highlighted the economic benefits of integrating Accessible Tourism into the MENA region.
