Explore & Experience kicks off with bigger participation

Al Rais Tours & Holidays has kicked off the sixth edition of its annual travel show – Explore & Experience. The event has been merged with the Bride Dubai show.
The event this year will witness participation from 13 tourism boards.
“This year’s event of Explore & Experience travel event will be a lot bigger and better than the previous years,” said Mohamed Jassim Al Rais, deputy managing director of Al Rais Tours & Holidays.
The participating tourism boards include Vienna, Philippines, Oman, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, Queensland, Britain, Ireland, Munich, and Hamburg.
Sonja Ishak, Asia, Middle East and Russia market manager of Vienna Tourist Board, said: “In 2014, Vienna registered another record-breaking year, with a total of 295,000 overnight stays from the Middle East.”
The Asian countries have been witnessing growth from the region with Oman stating that in 2014, there was a substantial 17% growth in number of GCC visitors. Oman welcomed 701,311 tourists in the first three quarters of 2014 alone. Subsequently, South Korea aims to attract 20 million foreign visitors by 2017. Tourist arrivals from Middle East reached 155,219 in 2014 with GCC arrivals recording the fastest growth rate of 30% year on year basis.
The event will run in the Bride Dubai from 25 – 28 March at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
