Oman Air has launched a brand new service to the Indian resort enclave of Goa.
The new service, which was first announced in January 2015, touched down in Goa for the first time on 29 March and will now operate four times a week, direct from the Omani capital, Muscat.
“I am delighted to announce that Oman Air’s new service between Muscat and Goa is now in operation. The service has already been greeted by strong demand from our customers and bookings are running at an encouraging level,” said Oman Air’s CEO, Paul Gregorowitsch.
“[Goa’s] relaxed pace, beautiful scenery and outstanding hospitality sector make it an ideal destination for holiday-makers.
“Furthermore, the Sultanate of Oman is seeing continuous increases in the number of Indian citizens visiting our shores. Our new service will offer many of them an even more convenient way of flying to Muscat with Oman Air and we look forward to giving them a warm welcome,” he added.
The new Goa service will depart Muscat every Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 1020, and arrive at Goa’s Dabolim International Airport at 1445. The return flights will then leave Goa at 1615, arriving back into Muscat at 1740.
Goa becomes the 11th destination in Oman Air’s Indian network, following Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram.
