Eighteen independent travel agents from 10 agencies in The Home Counties attended the most recent workshop of BRIGHT (Bringing Real Information & Guaranteed High Quality Training) in Ware, hosted by members from Viking River Cruises, Jersey Tourism, Cox & Kings, Explore, Kirker Holidays, Hurtigruten, Islas Canarias, 1st Class Holidays and Veloso Tours.
Agents attended from Cannon Travel, Holiday Affair, On Your Travels, Premier Travel, Quo Vadis Travel, Romano Travel, Spitfire Travel, Stowaway Travel, Travel Counsellors, Travel With Kitts and Ultimate Destinations.
The top raffle prize, with ticket sales going to the Abta Lifeline Charity, was donated by Kirker Holidays in the form of Eurostar tickets.
“We are already at the halfway point in our programme of workshops and we’ve had a magnificent response from over 200 independent agents,” commented Hisham Mahmoud, chairman of Bright.
“Agents in the Bedfordshire, Herts and surrounding area are a very enthusiastic group and our members reported great feedback,” he added.
Bright’s next workshop and dinner events will be staged at The Hotel Llyndir, near Chester on 2 June and in Belfast on 3 June at Ten Square Hotel.
