GRAHAM HILLS has been appointed chief product officer at Wego. Hills previously served as the general manager of Wego Indonesia and will now relocated to the travel search company’s headquarters in Singapore. He led Wego’s Jakarta-based team since 2011, overseeing the launch of wego.co.id.
SANJIV KAPOOR has been appointed as Vistara’s new chief strategy and chief commercial officer, effective February 2016. Kapoor will join the Delhi-based airline from SpiceJet, where he held the role of chief operating officer. He has more than 19 years’ experience with airlines in Asia, Europe and US.
LARA MIGLIASSI has been appointed as Hyatt’s new vice president of global brands. Based in Miami, she will now be responsible for Hyatt’s all-inclusive brands, Hyatt Zilara and Hyatt Ziva, plus the Hyatt Residence Club brands and Hyatt-branded residences. Previously she worked for Univision and Deutsche Bank.
CHRISTIAN HOECHTL has been announced as the general manager of the new Avani Bangkok Riverside hotel, effective this month. Hoechtl joins Minor Hotel Group from Kempinski, where he spent the last five years working at hotels in Spain, Croatia and China. He has also worked for IHG in Canada.
MATTHEW FRYAR has been promoted to the role of general manager at the Avani Haiphong Harbour View hotel in Vietnam. Fryar joined Minor Hotel Group in 2010 as executive assistance manager at the Anantara Phuket Villas, before transferring to Anantara Maldives to become resident manager in 2011.
RUWIE S. RAHARDJO has become the new general manager of Wego Indonesia. Ms Rahardjo brings more than 15 years’ experience in digital production and marketing to the travel search site, and was previously a representative member in Indonesia’s Digital e-Commerce Association (idEA).
SADETTIN KAYA has been appointed hotel manager of Le Royal Méridien Shanghai. A Turkish national, Kaya brings almost 20 years of experience to the role, having working at luxury hotels in nine countries. He most recent worked at Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi and Le Méridien Dubai Mina Seyahi.
LAWRENCE TAN has been named as the new food & beverage director for Impact Exhibition Management, the company that manages Thailand’s largest convention centre. Tan has more than 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including spells with Hyatt, Sheraton and Raffles in Singapore.
SARAH STACEY has become Destination Queenstown’s new marketing and communications director. The move marks a promotion for Ms Stacey, who previously held the role of communications & sector strategy manager. She has previously worked the Good Group and Skycity Queenstown.
SUZYANA SUJOD has been appointed director of sales at the Silka Cheras Kuala Lumpur. Ms Sujod joins the Dorsett International hotel from Best Western Petaling Jaya, where she also served as director of sales. She has also worked at Palace of the Golden Horse and Hotel Equatorial Melaka.
