Guernsey’s newest boutique property Ziggurat has opened for business.
Located in a prime position overlooking the island’s capital of St Peter Port, the Moroccan-inspired design hotel features a Middle Eastern restaurant and cocktail lounge.
The privately-run boutique hotel has 14 individually-designed ensuite bedrooms, which all feature a mini-fridge with fresh Guernsey milk, handmade chocolates and local teas. Eleven of the rooms have a balcony or terrace with seating.
At the heart of the property, the Moroccan-themed lounge and restaurant are open to the public and feature a large south-facing outdoor terrace and garden with views of Guernsey’s neighbouring bailiwick islands of Herm and Sark. Individual heated beach huts mean that guests can continue to admire the view from the terrace throughout the colder months while tucking into Middle Eastern inspired dishes, enjoying a drink from the bar’s specially-curated cocktail menu, or getting into the Arabian spirit with shisha.
Rooms at Ziggurat are priced from £70 for a single room, including breakfast.
