Vietnam arrivals continue to soar in April

International visitor arrivals to Vietnam continued to grow strongly in April.
According to the latest data from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), the country welcomed 789,484 international visitors last month, up 11.9% compared to April 2015.
Mainland China (+11.7% to 208,926 visitors) remained Vietnam’s largest source market during the month, followed by South Korea (+30.3% to 111,154).
Together, these two countries accounted for more than 40% of total arrivals. Japan (+8.4% to 53,031), the US (+11.2% to 44,786) and Taiwan (+17.9% to 40,053) completed the top five. And arrivals from Vietnam’s largest European source market, Russia (+24.4% to 35,298) rebounded strongly.
For the first four months of 2016, Vietnam has now welcomed 3.25 million international visitors, up 17.8% year-on-year.
