Tickets to Dubai’s new mega attraction, Dubai Parks & Resorts (DPR), have gone on sale in one of the destination’s biggest source markets – the UK.
Trade partners across the country can earn commission on tickets sold, while major UK firms such as Barrhead Travel, Gold Medal, Travel 2 and Thomas Cook having have already signed joint marketing deals with DPR to package and promote the attraction, which spans four theme parks – LEGOLAND® and LEGOLAND® Water Park; motiongate™ Dubai, and Bollywood Parks™.
The entire destination, which will be connected by Riverland™ Dubai – a retail, dining and entertainment walkway, is on schedule to open in October this year.
Dosomethingdifferent.com and Attraction World will also sell tickets, which again will boost the earning potential for agents selling holidays to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Agent training will be rolled-out and co-ordinated through My Booking Rewards (MBR) – www.mybookingrewards.com, the online rewards and incentives company.
Agent incentives, guides to the park, window and in-store displays and promotions, e-shots are currently being created and will be with agents over the coming months.
Ian Scott, group managing director, AMG Ltd, the representation company responsible for DPR’S travel trade marketing and sales activity in the UK said: “Now that the deals with our travel trade partners have been agreed, we’ll be accelerating activity to generate a real buzz about the parks and provide agents with the confidence they need to sell this exciting new multi-attraction destination.
The parks open in October, so we will be pre-selling tickets for arrivals from 01 November onwards, the ideal ticket being the multi park option, which can be purchased for a single day or longer.”
