‘Bumper Holiday Monday’ predicted More summer holiday bookings will be made on Monday (7 January) than any other day this year, British Airways Holidays has predicted. The tour operator has dubbed the day ‘Bumper Holiday Monday’ as the first full week at work comes after a year of sport and one of the wettest years on record. The airline had already seen a boost on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.“We anticipate a bumper booking day next Monday, with the return to work and start of a new school term, signaling the need for families to have sunnier climes to look forward to,” said Claire Bentley, managing director of British Airways Holidays. “With such miserable weather over Christmas, we saw many people booking their holiday even before they would have sat down for Christmas dinner. On Monday we expect some people will be booking before their breakfast.” Meet the Author Amanda Greenwood Share Article Facebook Twitter Google+ LinkedIn Share Related Articles Travel Daily UK On Holiday Group joins Midcounties Your Comments
