During this year’s Aston Week Surabaya, an annual trade show that brings together East Java’s travel trade, Aston International announced plans to open 40 new hotels in 2013.
The majority of 2013 openings will occur at the budget end of the service spectrum, with plans to open another 27 favehotels and NEOs in 2013, and at least 30 more by 2015.
There will be a number of midscale openings as well. Three-star Aston City Hotels are set to open in Belitung, Bekasi, Bojonegoro, Jambi, Jember, Kupang, Lampung, Madiun and Solo, in addition to a three-star Quest Hotel on Jalan Mangkubumi in Yogyakarta.
In the four-star category, the group will launch its first lifestyle Alana Hotel which is set to open in February in Seminyak Bali, as well as several Aston properties.
