Tall ship operator Star Clippers has released details of the recent refurbishments which took place on the line’s flagship, Royal Clipper, in January.
The 227-passenger vessel undertook work on all soft furnishings in a two-week dry dock in Trinidad.
Both public and private spaces have had refurbishments, with corridors getting new carpets and all seating reupholstered. Cabins were also renovated, with bathrooms given work too.
“It’s important to maintain the look of our ships so that when guests step aboard they feel like they are coming on to their own well-maintained yacht,” said Andy Lovering, director of sales and marketing. “We want to exceed our guests’ expectations for their entire Star Clippers experience and that includes the appearance of the ships.”
