100 more Metro trains for Delhi

The Delhi Metro will nearly double its number of trains by year-end, as it adds another 101 trains to the 107 currently operating, The Times of India has reported. The additions are part of an order for 131 new trains, 30 of which have already been delivered. Currently the Metro system serves approximately 1.1 million commuters every day, but this is expected to rise to 2 million as the network extends to more than 200km.
