03 Nov 09 (TravMedia.com): The 2010-2012 ‘Visit Korea Years’ campaign will seek to introduce visitors to Korea to its unique living culture and environment as well as the hidden charms found all over the country. With a different theme for each year the focus will be on different aspects of Korean culture and environment.
2010’s theme will be ‘City & Style’ focusing on the world design capital of Seoul and the rising interest in Korean pop culture in East Asia, urban tourism, culture and fashion.
2011’s focus is ‘Nature & People’ of which the highlight is the IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Daegu city as well as green tourism.
2012 will highlight ‘Blue Ocean’ when Korea will host an international exposition on the ‘The Living Ocean and Coast’ in Yeosu city. As well 2012 will spotlight Korea’s IT technology, maritime tourism, cruise and island tourism.
Major festivals and events will be held throughout the three years giving foreign visitors a great chance to enjoy the best of Korea’s lifestyle and attractions. Special Visit Korea Year tour programs will be organized to encourage foreign visitors to make the most of the time in the country.
