Starwood Hotels & Resorts has confirmed plans to launch its Aloft brand in Australia.
Set to debut in late 2016, the Aloft Perth Rivervale will become the contemporary brand’s first destination in the country.
Located in the suburb of Rivervale, east of Perth’s CBD, the new Aloft hotel will feature 224 loft-style rooms, a bar with live music, a “grab & go” F&B outlet, restaurant, fitness centre and swimming pool. The property will also offer 550m² of meeting space and a rooftop function area.
“We are delighted to introduce our stylish Aloft brand to Australia,” said Stephen Ho, president of Starwood Asia Pacific. “The hotel will appeal to the next generation of travellers who appreciate urban-influenced design, accessible technology and live music performances… in close proximity to Perth city centre.”
Aloft becomes the fourth Starwood brand in Australia, following Sheraton, Westin and Four Points. The new hotel also marks the company’s continued expansion in Western Australia; the Sheraton Perth opened in 2012, while the Westin Perth is due to follow in early 2017.
