EVA Air is expanding its trans-Pacific routes to North America.
Following the recent delivery of two new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, the Taiwanese carrier will gradually roll out an extra 45 flights to five North American destinations – Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Toronto and Vancouver.
In the first phase of expansion, which took place this week, EVA has boosted its Vancouver service from three to four flights, its Los Angeles route from 17 to 20 flights per week, New York from five to flights per day, and Toronto from three to four flights per week.
Then on 3 July, the second phase of growth will see EVA expand its San Francisco service from 12 to 14 flights per week and its Los Angeles route from 20 to 21 flights per week.
All EVA’s North American routes operate to and from Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport.
The expansion was made possible by the arrival of the two new B777s, both of which offer 333 seats in a three-class layout.
