Nearly three quarters (71 percent) of British consumers recognise the ABTA logo and regard it as ‘essential’ when booking a holiday, according to its latest survey. In addition, the association urged travel agents to let customers know about their knowledge and expertise after 53 percent of those surveyed said they valued the experience offered by agencies. It also encouraged agents to tell customers about APD and its contribution to the Treasury although it seems they already are after 73 percent of respondents said they were aware of the taxes they paid to travel.
