PAL temporarily cuts services
Philippine Airlines (PAL) is reducing flight frequencies across its network as it prepares to handover various services to outside agents. The airline has chosen to outsource catering, ground handling and call centre reservation operations and is temporarily reducing the number of domestic and international flights for the handover period on 1 October.
Domestic flights will be temporarily reduced by about 30%, affecting operations at Cebu, Davao, Bacolod, Iloilo, Butuan, Cotabato, Cagayan de Oro, Dipolog, Kalibo, Laoag, Legazpi, Tacloban, Tagbilaran and Zamboanga. Meanwhile international flights will be cut provisionally by 12% affecting fights from Hong Kong, Bangkok, New Delhi, Macau, Singapore, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Guam, Sydney, Melbourne and Incheon to Cebu. All other PAL flights remain as scheduled.
