Royal Caribbean International (RCI) has announced the Mariner of the Seas will offer a short Brazil season in February 2011. Four round-trip services from Sao Paulo will depart on a six-night itinerary, one of which coincides with the Rio Carnival. Selected cruises will have Portuguese as its primary language to allow guests to fully immerse in the region’s culture, food and entertainment. English will still be offered. RCI has also introduced new customised half or full day private shore excursions with private vehicles. An English-speaking guide can join them to provide tour commentary. Fourteen new “Easy” tours for wheelchair-users or those who struggle to walk for long periods have also been launched, along with a range of culinary and outdoors experiences.
