P&O Cruises has announced it will install a large entertainment screen on the Pacific Jewel later this year. The screen will be unveiled in November and will be positioned above the ship’s pool deck. Carnival Australia’s CEO Ann Sherry, which operates P&O Cruises, said the entertainment screen concept had been welcomed by customers. “Our passengers were so excited by the prospect of a big screen on Pacific Pearl that we thought we should extend the concept to other ships in our fleet,” explained Sherry. “With Pacific Jewel due to go into drydock on November 5, the timing was perfect to fit an entertainment screen on her top deck.” The screen will be used to show destination images, movies, news, sports events, karaoke and Playstation tournaments.
