Jewel in the Crown Holidays has extended its holiday durations to Goa due to an increase in requests. The tour operator has added 10 and 12 night stays to the winter programme, which lasts from October to April. Explaining the decision, Jewel’s managing director Platon Loizou said: “What we are seeing are less people buying seven night durations because the extra cost for a longer period is relatively small. We have had requests for 10 and 12 night stays which usually means just a week off work.” He said that Christmas, New Year and February half term periods were selling well. “[There are also] plenty of bookings for our low cost periods in February and March. The public must still remember the last cold winter and want to look forward to an exotic sunny holiday,” he added.
